We have resume-building opportunities for NSEP Alumni. We need freelance writers, editors & mentors!
Write an article, review, reflection or rant on your country and/or study abroad experience! Rant, rave or rate your study abroad program. Give essay writing advice for Boren applicants. Tell us about your job search, your dream job or why you want to be a public servant. Whether you’re frustrated by the red tape or super thrilled after years working in the Federal Government we want to hear about your experiences! What did you do right and what did you do wrong in trying to fulfill your service requirement? What would you have done differently?
Don’t like talking about you, but love to write? Then sign up to interview awesome and interesting Boren Alumni and write about their adventures by emailing alumni@borenforum.org. And if writing’s not your thing then send us poetry, recipes, pictures, cultural adages, musical interludes etc. from your host country (don’t forget to list the source).
Become a Boren Mentor!
Looking to contribute to the greater Boren Forum community? Volunteer as a Boren Mentor! We are currently gathering a list of names of former Boren scholars and fellows who would be willing to donate a small amount of time on behalf of new alumni. Mentoring is a great way to give back to the Boren Forum, network and meet the newest members of our national security community. Boren Mentors will provide informational interviews and career advice to new alums looking to enter a specific field.
If interested, send an email with your contact information and professional details to development@borenforum.org. Please put “Boren Mentors” in the subject title. Thanks!
