The Boren Forum and Johns Hopkins University – SAIS hold and annual career event, usually in the spring of each year, at The Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC. Previous Career panels have highlighted career opportunities in the Intelligence Community (2009 and 2011) and in the field of International Development (2010).
At the most recent event, held on Thursday, March 10, 2011, Boren Alumni and SAIS students joined Ms. Paula J. Roberts, Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Human Capital and Intelligence Community Chief Human Capital Officer, and practitioners from major government agencies for a discussion of the U.S. Intelligence Community, current hiring needs, and an overview of the security clearance process. Attendees had the opportunity to meet individually with agency recruiters and ask specific questions.
