Location: Ping Pong Dim Sum, 1 Dupont Circle NW, Washington, DC
Description: Everyone shared their favorite study abroad stories and travel tips at our first joint happy hour with the local chapter of the Fulbright Association, the organization connecting all Fulbright alumni in the national capital area.

Location: Pizzeria Uno’s, Union Station
Description: This welcome dinner for new Boren Scholars getting ready to depart for their studies was attended by more than 70 new scholars and some DC-based alumni. Following a buffet dinner, the group headed to the National Mall to enjoy a night-time monuments tour.

Description: The Boren Forum Spring Soiree provided a unique opportunity for Boren alumni new to the area to network with seasoned Washingtonians and provided the Board of Directors with a platform to engage with alumni ans supporters, share mid-year achievements and discuss future initiatives. Complimentary appetizers were served.

Location: Cherry Blossom Tour around the Tidal Basin, dinner at Sushi Aoi, 1100 New York Ave NW
Description: A volunteer tour guide led approximately 20 people on a complimentary tour of the Cherry Blossoms in the Tidal Basin area. The evening event, which attracted Boren Forum members with a predilection for the outdoors, culminated with a dinner at a local sushi restaurant culminated.

Description: This Happy Hour event featured live music by Boren Forum’s own Justin Liang (Boren Scholar, Japan), who wooed members and their guests with his original music. The Irelands Four Courts happy hour drew members both from Northern Virginia as well as DC proper.

Description: Foreign Policy Trivia Happy Hour: More than 50 attendees collaborated in small groups to answer numerous foreign policy questions. First 10 Boren Forum members to arrive received free drinks and trivia contest winners received prizes.

Description: Join the Boren Forum and enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar on the rooftop of Cava Mezze — a Greek-inspired Capitol Hill favorite serving the freshest and finest Mediterranean ingredients and excellent mojitos — as we celebrate the holidays and look forward to 2013. Description: The Boren Forum hosted a Happy Hour in conjunction with the 2012 NSEP Boren Fellowships Symposium. This event was attended by recently returned fellows and Boren alumni living in Washington DC.
